Affiliate marketing is a highly profitable industry in which many people use to build their online business and live a financially free life. These people promote other peoples products and in return they receive a commission; some as high as 75%. There are millions of products to promote, some being digital and some physical. You need to do some research to find out whats hot and what not and start promoting.

When starting out in the affiliate marketing business, digital products are the ones to promote and then move on to the physical ones. But then again there is a lot less competition promoting physical products than digital. Digital products tend to give out higher commissions due their cost to be developed is lower and there ability to be downloaded directly to your computer in a matter of minutes. Physical products are obviously much more costly to make and have to be shipped out to where ever they're going. This doesn't mean that they're not good to promote. There are many people who promote physical products and making a very nice living.

So How Do You Promote Products In An Affiliate Marketing Business?

1. Websites - This is probably the best way to promote products within your affiliate marketing business. First off, decide what products you want to sell. Pick at least 3 or more and make them consistent. If you are interested in selling hair loss products, find a few hair loss products. Then you add some content to your website. Add an Intro about the site and then some reviews about the products you just found. These are very basic steps but at least you get a general idea. Also take a look at other websites that are related to what you are trying to do. Now you have to generate traffic to your website.

2. Paid Advertising - Pay per click is a form of advertising used to promote products in affiliate marketing. Basically, you would place ads on search engines such as Google, and if someone clicks on your ad you pay a predetermined price that you set. Once the ad is clicked on, the consumer will go to your website and if they click on the product you advertised, you will get a commission.

3. Articles - In affiliate marketing, writing articles to promote a product is a highly effective way and free. Write about information relating to what you are selling but don't make it sound like a sales letter. At the end of the article, put your link to your website or blog but not a link that will send people directly to the product website.

4. Forums - Another great way to promote products in affiliate marketing are joining forums related to your products. Once you gain trust from the forum members by participating in some discussions, you will be able to place a link whenever you post a reply.

5. Blogs - This is another free method of affiliate marketing to reach potential customers. Blogs are easy to construct and is basically a free website. You will be able to pick out a template to change the look of your blog and add some content and links related to your products your promoting.
